Chaotic Joy

Having my weekly lesson with Harold at Westminster couldn't begin until he gave me a giant bear hug—then we embarked on a journey of chaotic joy blended with learning how to strip away the layers that separate us from what the music was trying to say. With him, music was never about controlling; it was about freeing. Creativity flowed like a rushing mountain river in Harold's lessons and he was always the brightest part of my day.

Scores with Harold's markings: JS Bach, Invention 8 in F Major, Mendelssohn, No. 1 from Six Songs without Words

The first of Mendelssohn's Songs without Words, with expressive instructional markings by Harold Zabrack, piano teacher.
